Blanks measure 7/8" square by 6" long
Hybrid blanks at Bullseye Turning Supply are made with stabilized hand-picked wood and Alumilite Clear Slow resin. Our resin colors are carefully designed and mixed by a member of our family business.
Stabilizing our wood takes fragile woods and makes them much more dense and solid for turning, carving, or machining. Stabilizing also helps solidify burls and helps eliminate wood movement. This means that you will have an easier time turning our blanks!

This is a gorgeous blank. The depth and detail is absolutely superb. The only thing with the blank i received was it was mostly deeper reds and burgundy and not much of the yellow and orange. I fully realize that is the nature of resin and by no means did it detract from the project. My customer loved it.
The blanks turn easily and smoothly with nice freshly honed tools. I was a little nervous with the transition area from wood to resin, as this was the first time I had attempted a hybrid blank. I couldn't even tell when I was turning across that area.
The blanks finish nicely and the luster is gorgeous. I'll definitely be getting more of these in the future.
